I Love Halloween!

For a creative spirit like me, Halloween is pure magic — the time for dressing up silly and the joy of creating combined...

My "Halloween 2025 projects" include:

  • Tomato Cage Ghosts:  We kept outdoor decorations simple this year, and I created tomato cage ghosts out of some cages I had on hand, and simple white sheets with black felt for eyes.  They were super easy to create, and cost me under $15 each.

  • Flair:  I have a pink sequined fabric that I found in a discount bin at the fabric store, that adds a bit of sparkle.  For this year, I paired it with some white pumpkins and an owl.

  • Costumes:  I’m going old school with a witch costume that I pulled together from a mix of things I already had paired with a couple of small purchases.  I found my skirt at an estate sale, and repurposed some decor to create spiderweb earrings.

I always like to remind myself—and my clients—to take a creative eye to the things you already have in your home and closet. With a little imagination, you can create a fun, unique, and meaningful celebrations using repurposed items. It’s also a great activity to do on your own or with your family, adding that special holiday feeling without spending a lot.

Happy Halloween!
