Many people think of a brand as your logo, your colors and maybe your products or services. However, this is not true. Your brand is so much more than that, and this list I mentioned is the supporting cast, so to speak. What do I mean?
Your brand is the overall impression that you leave with your clients and potential clients. And these elements are the things that comprise your brand:
Brand Identity: This is the supporting cast I mentioned above - your colors, fonts, and everything else that makes your brand visually recognizable.
Brand Personality: Is your brand fun and silly? Professional and serious? These are important questions to consider before you begin to create your brand identity.
Brand Positioning: This is about differentiating your company and brand from your competitors. What makes you different and unique? You always want to highlight this so clients and potential clients understand why they should do business with you.
Brand Equity: This is a little more abstract, but still very important. Brand equity is the perceived value of your brand. A great example is Apple: they have a very high perceived brand value compared to their competitors.
Brand Assets: Your brand assets are very important. The assets are the pieces that make your brand what it is; logo, taglines, jingles and possibly even celebrity endorsements.
Brand management is really important as you elevate your company and your brand. Learn how Bluefish Creative can help you create these elements of your brand, and possibly refresh your logo as well.
